Yup the front turn indicator is the best tell between the 55 and 56. This appears to be a 56 Fairlane Club Sedan.

T his 56 is a Mainline not a Fairlane based on the side trim. The Fairlane sedan had the trim that went down the whole side like a Victoria.
Other notable differences are the dashes, side trim on a Fairlane & Victoria, the pillar-less hardtops are way different between a 55 and 56

H ere’s the very first car I ever bought just before my 15th birthday for comparison. It was bought sitting in a field. This was a 56 Vicky. Had a lot of fun with it.
